S’Hostal de Can MarronTypical traditional Mallorcan building from the 19th century. It operated as an inn in the 1950s.
The large facade features a semi-circular arch with the 'grif' (mythological animal) of the Pobler coat of arms and the date 1844. Above the garage is the date 1837.
The coat of arms of sa Pobla is formed by a fantastic animal: a griffin, which is very recurrent in heraldic symbolism. There are several theories about how this coat of arms came to our town. Local Authors.
History and literature: May 20, 1500. The mayor of La Pobla is notified that Macià Nadal, lessee of the Albufera, says that a resident of sa Pobla has stolen fish and asks the mayor to do justice as they have incurred in violation of the law.
