Sa CongregacióIn 1889, the Marian Congregation was founded in Sa Pobla to promote the teaching of the Catholic religion, especially to children and young people; the girls had the chapel of the Daughters of Mary on Lluna Street. In the early 20th century, the Congregation was established in the building at the corner of Lluc and Rosario streets. It began operating as a parish school, and cultural activities also took place there.
Vicar Parera and Father Antoni Aguiló i Valls promoted and opened the doors to all the young people of the town. In 1959, a cinema was built, which was also used as a theater. Until the mid-1970s, it was used as a boys' school. Through an agreement with the bishopric, it underwent a major renovation and reopened in 2002, this time as a multifunctional cultural building.
The building's portal dates from 1886. Local Authors. History and literature: The most notable area of activity – in Sa Congregació – was pious life, the formation, and spiritual guidance of the 'poblera' youth. Sunday meetings, perhaps the most important, served to instruct on aspects of Christian morals and beliefs.
