Ca n’ArabíIsidro Arabí Andrades served as a schoolteacher in sa Pobla from 1854 to 1905. The process of education and training was fundamental throughout the 19th century, and the figure of Master Arabí was essential in the town.
He taught children during the day and adults at night. An honest teacher who fought tirelessly to improve the education of the townspeople.
He often did not charge the neediest families and helped farmers with surveying tasks. He left a lasting impact, though nothing came easy.
A man of republican ideas, he worked as a correspondent for the town's newspaper, El Iris. He was born in Murcia in 1829.
