On the facade, there is a plaque commemorating Joan Torres Gost (1901-1979), declared an illustrious son of sa Pobla in 1982 and director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Madrid.

Joan's father, Guillem Torres, played a crucial role during the 1918 flu pandemic.
