Between 1912 and 1923, it was the residence of Vicar Parera, founder of the magazine Sa Marjal and the Monte de Piedad 'Un Solo Corazón'.

He was vicar of the parish of sa Pobla from 1890 to 1928.

Joan Parera i Sansó, son of Joan and Francesca, was born in Manacor on May 5, 1865, and died in sa Pobla on January 20, 1928.

In the 20th century, it was home to the family of the town doctor and politician Bartomeu Siquier i Serra.
