Creu de can Mateu SolerIn 1907, the owner of the house, Mateu Soler, found a niche in the wall while carrying out renovation works and commissioned Joan Gelabert – a blacksmith – to create a cross, which he placed inside.
The cross is Neo-Gothic, with the date 1922.
It has a metal Christ figure.
The Neo-Gothic style, in the late 19th century, sought to revive medieval Gothic art.
