Antigua casa consistorialThe Sala, courthouse or court, prison, and the 'saig' (guard) house were established in the current Pericàs pharmacy and the Can Segura jewelry store, which at that time formed a single house.
In 1809, the roof collapsed, and in 1811, the jurors wisely decided to build a new building.
Since they didn't have any land, they decided that the best place was the public square in front of the old Sala house.
On August 5, 1820, the auction for the new town hall was published.
Subsequently, almost at the beginning of the 20th century, the old 'town house' saw the opening of the first Fonda Europa and a tavern.
