Can Verdal

Formerly owned by Joan Serra de Can Verdal, who sold Miramar to the Archduke. It was later passed to the Planes family when the heiress, Margalida Serra i Morei, married Miquel Planes i Poquet. In this house is where Archduke Ludwig Salvator, in 1872, bought the estate and monastery of Miramar, owned by Joan Serra.

The building was completely remodeled at the end of the 20th century, becoming a municipal social center. On its facade, we can see a plaque that commemorates all the laborers who used to gather daily in this square to be hired for work in the Marjal. Local authors.
